How to print a Google Doc
Each month, clerk of session
puts the agenda and other documents on Google Docs and gives all session
members “view” privilege. In some cases,
those who receive these documents will want to print them. Following is how to do that:
First open the document in
Google Docs. The top of the document looks
like the picture below if you have “edit” privilege. If you have only “view” privilege, the
words Edit, Insert, Format, Table, and Tools will not be there. In either case, any case, the word File
will be there. The first step in
printing a Google document is to click “File.”
(Note:
there will be another set of words at the extreme top of your screen, above
Google Docs, and the word File will be there also. Don’t click that one, click the one that is a
part of Google Docs - like the picture below shows.)

When you click “File,” the
following drop down menu appears. The
second step in printing a document is to click the word Print in that drop down
menu.

After you click “Print” in
the drop down menu, the document will display similarly to a PDF document. The next picture shows the extreme top of
such a document. Click the “Print icon”
(at the far left), to initiate the actual print operation. From that point on, you will see the same
“print windows” as you would see on your machine when printing any document.
