Andrew - Roof Campaign Early in 2011 we learned the sad news that the roof
on our sanctuary had to be replaced.
If that were not enough, we discovered later in the summer that we also
had major leaks in the Fellowship Hall roof and it too needed be
replaced. Instead of a plan that
included issuing umbrellas to all members to use while in fellowship hall,
Property, with the approval of session, initiated the Fellowship hall roof replacement. The contractor that will install the roof over
fellowship Hall cannot do so until March but will make emergency leak
repairs, without charge, until then. We launched a roof replacement fund in late 2010
with the hopes of offsetting the cost of the sanctuary roof repair. We
received $2,350 in 2010 and $13,450 so far in 2011 for a total of
$16,800. As of November 27, we are renewing that roof
replacement campaign. Our goal is to increase that to at least the amount
estimated for the Fellowship Hall roof replacement, $50,000, within the next
